New Face on the Rise: Julia Bergshoeff

Julia Bergshoeff burst onto the scene last season walking for Proenza Schouler, Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu last season which for any new model is already an impressive start, but this season she exploded into the fashion world walking for a staggering 51 shows, four of which she opened and closed six! Bergshoeff, originally from Amsterdam is a model chameleon with her feminine features yet strong bone structure, she walked for everyone from the cool, more minimalist  brands like Balenciaga and Proenza Schouler to the traditionally British at Burberry to Parisian chic at Chanel and Valentino. Hands off to the girls she can become just about any brands ideal girl, and she seems to have made a huge impact this season, becoming one of the most watched and wanted models.

Editorial Work
As well as her impressive show portfolio Bergshoeff also has an impressive editorial portfolio. Appearing in magazines such as i-D, French and British Vogue, Self Service and Le Monde M Magazine.

Advertising Campaigns
Brands have been quick to use her up for campaigns as well, first being Prada for the Autumn Winter 14 collection in which she appears with bleached brows and a flawless complection and more recently Proenza Schouler in which she again channels the bleached brow look. She has also most recently appeared in the Autumn Winter Campaign for Gucci taking on a much more glamorous and sexal role with tanned skin and wavy locks.

As you can most likely tell by now after me rambling on about her, Julia Bergshoeff is my model of the moment. Her distinct charm and femininity is a breath of fresh air into the modelling world which has been over run by tomboyish girls with alien like cheekbones. She is definitely one to look out for in the up and coming seasons, I expect we will be seeing a lot more of her in the years to come!
