Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2014

Sadly a beautiful collection had a mournful feeling with the announcement of Marc Jacobs leaving the luxury french brand after 16 years. Marc Jacobs is one of my most favourite designers and I loved the theatricality of his Louis Vuitton shows especially so as the spring/summer 2014 show was a mixture of the best, it definitely did not disappoint. With the elevators, fountains, the carousel and the hotel corridors all in a deep black  it gave the show an almost overwhelming feeling of darkness and departure, like a fashion show funeral. The models emerged in beautiful and delicate black embellished pieces contrasted with denim jeans, showgirl pieces and bulky shoulder pad jackets, but everyone of them wore a Stephen Jones headpiece made from ostrich plumes which just added the shows drama. These are a couple of my favourite looks from the show!
