My Favourite Fragrances

I have always had a strange obsession with fragrances ever since I can remember ordering my first aftershave from the avon catalogue when I must have been about 11 or 12, cheap and cheerful it may have been but there was just something about having your own little bottle of smell that felt good. So when I found out our next major project in uni was to create a fragrance brand I was thrilled, I always find myself day dream what my fragrance would be like if I ever had my 5 minutes of fame (doesn't everyone!?), so this task is definitely something I am looking forward to. To get me started I looked through my own fragrance collection and thought a bit about why I like them.

Jo Malone  Pomegranate Noir - I have a thing for Jo Malone, fragrances, candles, creams, just basically everything, so when I was in New York I knew I wanted a full size cologne which I had, had my eye on for just going on a year! On the last day I divulged and finally purchased  Pomegranate Noir, I already had the candle and loved the scent and how it smelt and when it wore off, it is very dark, rich and fruity, perfect for the night time which is when I wear this most often as I find it too heavy for the daytime. I would recommend this to anyone who likes dark and luxurious fragrances who are looking to splurge and treat themselves!

Marc Jacobs Men - This is my all time favourite fragrance, my signature scent if you want. This is my third bottle of the stuff and as you can see it is looking a bit worse for wear due to it being lugged around here there and everywhere with me! The scent is very fig based with hints of coconut, it is quite feminine for a men's cologne but that's what I like, its very fresh but at the same time warm and comforting. This is my everyday scent and whenever I wear it I get compliments on how i smell like myself which I suppose is a sign of too much wear? I love this fragrance and as my all time favourite I would recommend it to anyone as I don't have anything bad to say on it at all!

Chanel Allure Homme Sport - This is another of my everyday scents, this is a lot more fresher and masculine than the Marc Jacobs and even though I don't like it as much I get a lot more compliments when I wear this which I think is due to the fact its a little stronger and lasts a lot longer! I must admit this fragrance is only ever a gift as I can rarely afford the high prices at Chanel, so I wouldn't purchase it myself but would love to get it as a gift again!

Viktor &Rolf Antidote - I have a love/hate relationship with this one, I kind of bought into the branding a bit which I know you shouldn't do, but I instantly fell in love with the bottle and the packaging so it went straight on my christmas list. I got this last christmas and kind of become used to the smell and actually kind of liked it, the scent is quite masculine and spicy but not as strong as spicebomb from the brand. I would recommend  it to an older audience but for me it was a bit too strong, but that didnt stop me using it while I was out of my beloved Marc Jacobs
